Burson Demoney Family Cemetery

The Burson Family Cemetery is located on Garretts Ferry road, 0.63 miles north of Capps Ferry Rd. The cemetery is on private property approximately 0.4 mile west on an old service road which was historically Garretts Ferry Rd.

There appears to be 16-20 graves at this site; however, there are only three tombstones with inscriptions: James & Lucinda Burson share a double tombstone (pictured at right), Linney Jane Demoney has a single head stone and William J. Demoney has a hand written inscription on a stone.

The Burson Family has posted extensive information on genealogy Web sites and a few of their family members have documented this cemetery in photo journals. Of particular interest are photos taken by Allen Burson Walls @1960 that show a picture of the James C. Burson house and the cemetery (see below).
